A Mid-Summer Greeting from New High School Principal Mr. Craig Wigley
Before summer ends I wanted to introduce myself to our Northern families and provide you with a short biography and some of the attributes I will bring to the Northern Burlington Regional High School.
It is a pleasure to have been appointed the High School Principal here at Northern. In June, I spent 5 days observing the high school while in session before beginning my duties at Northern on July 1, 2010. The students and staff were impressive, informative and welcoming. This met every expectation I had of the outstanding school community that exists at Northern Burlington and especially in the high school.
Here is a quick picture of who I am and where I came from. I grew up one of six boys in my family. I am the 4th son and can be described as the typical middle child. I grew up in Hainesport, NJ. I attended Hainesport School, Rancocas Valley Regional High School, Trenton State College, and finally Rider University. I am married to my wife Melissa going on 20 years and have 3 sons.
Throughout my 22 years in education and leading to this point in my career, I have worked hard to develop the reputation as a team player and a positive contributor to my colleagues, school community and school district. I have been a leader as a teacher in the classroom, coach on the fields, and school administrator for the past six years. I lead by example and take pride in the results of hard work that benefits the school. You will find me to be involved in student life, approachable, and a good listener. I will be honest in my feedback to you, your son or daughter and the high school staff. I assure you I will always have our students’ needs as my focus for continuing a tradition of excellence that permeates the school district.
Please enjoy the remainder of the summer. Be safe and we will see everyone back in September.
